The tradition for the last 32 years was to do the christmas decorating on December 3rd. I start getting stuff out, and sorting through it the weekend after thanksgiving though.

I've only been through one checkstop ever. I was getting a friend from Wichita. He had a bunch of dope on him. I didn't even know until we were through, and he told me.
They also announce where the checkpoints are going to be at, and what time on the radio, and the newspapers. They do it once a year maybe.

Right, plus Michigan recently made their DUI laws stricter. I think it's a straight to jail if you get busted. I really don't need that. I also don't need to be hungover for tomorrow.
You are doing 2 days minimum for a DUI here. 5 days minimum for DUI #2 and one year mandatory for #3
lose your liscence for 30 days, then work, and emergency driving only for a year. the 2nd DUI you lose it totally for a year. the 3rd DUI you lose your liscence for 5 years.
Personally I think the DUI laws are way too strict. The punishment should be based on how drunk you are. I am probaly at a constant .08% after work.

I think that if we go out, I am going to drink water and pop. I just don't want to chance it.
