The exception. The Sandals in St. Lucia had a SWEET pool bar. So we would hang out there drinking between visits to the ocean.

I did not enjoy being in the ocean. I like the Lakes better.

Your wierf, lakes are way scummier than the ocean, especially the Caribbean.

I have the cabin booked for the weekend following the 4th. I'll even let you know when I get it booked next year and you can join us and swim in Lake Michigan, which is gorgeous.
Once you get away from the cities, the lakes are pretty clear and clean.

I have swam at Traverse City beaches. It does not compare to the Caribbean, not even close. Not even close to Ocean City, MD
are the beaches in Atlantic City dirty? or is everything in Jersey just generally dirty
broad street ball suckers
I wouldn't call the great lakes scummy.
But they'll never be as clean and clear as some ocean pictures I've seen.

Jersey is just dirty. AC is not that bad though, but if you leave the casinos, it sucks ass. The beaches are decent for a day or two stay, but I would not plan a week there.

Exactly, and they can get scummy in places. Fresh water is more prone to algae and silt.

I usually stay at Harrah's & stay away from the boardwalk/beaches

1 hour north or south of Atlantic City has nice beaches, Cape May is pretty nice

Grand Traverse Bay has nothing on the beaches straight off of Lake Michigan. Especially in the Sleeping Bear Dunes are. They are the best, especially Empire and Esch Rd. Nice and sandy with shallow areas that generally are warmer to swim in. And the sand out this way is like sugar, not that coarse shit on the oceans.

Trump is nice. So is that place on the bay, the big one, I forget it's name. AC used to be the nicest beach on the east coast, 80 years ago.....
