The only bad part of the Kovalchuk signing is that the Devils will get a lot of high draft picks.

Giroux for the next 3 years with a 3.75 cap hit, fucking sweet.
I'm pretty sure he'll still be a RFA after that deal.

Carter for the next 11 years with a 5.27 cap hit, fucking sweet.
His cap hit now is only 5 a year. Not much of an increase, and I have a feeling he could have got a lot more out on the market.

Carter is an idiot for not hitting the market, he could have gotten 6.5 or more per on the open market.

I really like Giroux, which is why I drafted him in fantasy. He is a beast and I really wish he played for any other team.

What kind of contract does Richards have?

I gotta think, with these two, Briere and Pronger, maybe there is no money for Richards......

Richards signed a 12 year deal after his rookie contract was up. They have him for 9 or 10 more years too. And Richards cap hit is something like 5.75. I really thought Carter would get something a lot closer to that.
Carter signed a 3 yeard deal after his rookie contract, and that is up after this year. And yeah, can you imagine how much a team like Toronto would have thrown at Carter?

Leino is next on the list to be signed.

I always knew Campbell was a moron, and this explains a lot of his inconsitant bull shit.

I hate Colie as much as anyone, and think he's an idiot.
But this is a good read.

WTF happened in Philly last night?
7-7 after 2?

Well, Stamkos has 19 goals in 19 games, how long before the 50 in 50 talk starts?
Now?
Can he?
I'd like to see it.

Lecavier is out for 6 (?) weeks, that might drop a few during that time.

Haha, a bit of funny all-star ballot shinfo.

The Florida Panthers have three players on the ballot: Tomas Vokoun, David Booth and Bryan McCabe(notes). Combined, they have 9,722 All-Star Game votes; which means more people have written in Chris Stewart of the Colorado Avalanche (9,762) than have voted for a Panther on the ballot.

In all fairness, Vokoun deserves consideration. He is an on t he fence all star. If he played for a better team, he would be a shoe in.

The problem is, no one in Miami cares about hockey. They need to move that franchise to Winnipeg, Quebec or Hartford, places that hockey should have never left.

Florida and Atlanta need to move.

I'm thinking Vokoun will be traded this year.
There were a ton of rumors last year.

I am fine with that as long as it's not to the Flyers, Rangers or Capitols.....

I'm pretty sure Vokoun's cap hit is around 5 mil, Those teams can't afford him.

The Flyers have Bob.
I'm good with him.
Keep him well rested.
And don't let him learn english, maybe there won't be any preasure on him come playoffs.
If they can do what they did last year with Boucher and Leighton, they can compete with Bob in net.
