Nice...every so often I hear things on the show that I know I said but wasn't sure if that's where it came from. I guess yesterday was one of my better days on the show, ha. I don't know why they like calling me "Mercer Boy" these days though. That's my gamer "handle" for the most part although I do use it for my links to my various sites.
On the show I kind of like Greg Mercer since it doesn't sound so...boyish?

They speciffically hired him because he is close to being certified. We have one certified guy now. All warranty work has to be performed by the certified guy. Ford was questioning how this one certified guy we have was turning in more warranty hours than are even possible.
So no firing.

I would say because you have it as your mediafire and ustream names and also your twitter name, they may assume that's what you like to go by

Yeah, it's pervasive in my "internet" life - YouTube, UStream, Twitter, XBox - all of it except for C&R. I've been called Mercer Boy in one form or another since I was 16 years old. It was originally a negative term that some kids made up when I used to do speech & debate. I would always beat them so they had to come up with something to try to throw me off my game. Eventually I decided that it wasn't a terrible nickname and just went with it.
Now that I'm 31, having "boy" attached with my nickname isn't so great (hence why Covino used "man" in his nickname). That's why I went with Greg Mercer when dealing with C&R - if I'm trying to attract nussies, being a "boy" is not a good thing.
