The wife of one of Jim's buds posted this deal about wanting to go shopping on Thanksgiving Day and I responded saying how I planned on spending my day with my family instead of shopping. Holy crap, did I get hated on by her and a few of her friends for daring to suggest that people should be with her family on Thanksgiving.

I'm pretty sure the only thing open on Canadian Thanksgiving is convenience stores and gas stations.

I think this is only the 2nd year that Black Friday has spilled into Thanksgiving.
I think most people hate it and are pissed about it.

It seems like the retail stores are getting more greedy and started opening earlier and earlier. 3 years ago or so, a bunch of them began opening at midnight. Now, they are pushing to be open on thanksgiving day. I have no interest in shopping when I am supposed to be eating dinner with my family, watching football and playing cards. It's bad enough that I need to go to the hospital to visit Dad this year.
