actually I leave mine dry, just make sure that they are straight and not nicked. Since grease tends to collect dust and by nature brake pad dust causes friction, to grease them would be counter productive.

its not about "greasing" the components, but about helping avoid corrosion which is what causes these parts to stick and seize up.
