The beef with Dildo from the previous board had to do with a few things.
Apparently, Dildo was a big hit on the short lived ustream Spotcenter days and C&R proclaimed him as a #1 dudebro. However, he was a virtual unknown in the forum world.

Dildo then appeared on the forum and would make comments totally unrelated to the topics that were either being discussed in the forum or on the show. Couple that with the poor grammar and spelling and people became annoyed. Was this his schtick? No one was quite sure.

Forum regulars aren't always super friendly or open to new posters. I'm not throwing everyone in that category, but I think Dildo felt the wrath of many posters, myself included.

Did Dildo get a bad rap? Maybe.

However, there seemed to be instances of inconsistencies in his stories and unbelievable tales such as sleeping with porn stars that lead many people from DBN and TOMB to doubt how truthful Dildo was being.

While the reasons are pretty lame, that's the deal with the dislike for Dildo.

He's probably a good guy and someone you'd have a beer with, but people got turned off by an online persona. I'd welcome him onto DBN.

again AirHej thank you for also being honest..As a loyal listener to C&R since the beginning, i never started calling in until mid 2008.. like a lot of dudebros, it was the long time listener first time caller deal, Right!!

i did not join or even hear about the forum until late February, after i had already been on the Ustream and followed the link from there. on ustream i know i came across like a brash Asshole..i am willing to admit that!!!

i am now seeing that is was huge part of the early response i received in the forums. And has left a bad taste in the mouths of some.. I would like to add, that a lot of people that go online, make themselves out to be better than they really are, i might have done that once or twice..

but i PROMISE YOU, that the shyla stylez (the porn star) schtick was real.. !!!! but if i am being completely honest I DIDNT have sex with her.. but other stuff did go down..

as for my grammar, i am sorry, i type exactly the way i speak.. like chelo tells me on the other forum.. We need a Dildo to English dictionary..

i am also glad to see that some of you guys are willing to give me a change to make up for being a douche previously.

I share the same sentiments as the others, I welcome you to DBN, but keep in mind, that because of previous, most will probably not allow you much slack at first. You are welcome to post here all you want, but ease into it, to prevent a repeat of the previous.

Thanks Derick.. Like i said previously i most likely will not post very often over here.. so excessive posting will not be a problem. Minus all the responses i received today..
Thank for your comment guys.. and i hope we can start putting this all behind us, and become more civil to each other, and i once again apologise for my previously comments that may have rubbed you the wrong way.

A few more Black Ice style quick points.

1. like AirHej said, you originated in the Ustream chat. Who else originated there? Jerk Man :homo: . You and Jerk Man :homo: then both were anointed dudebro #1 when most of the forum regulars had never even heard of you. And jerkman :homo: in particular is hated by everyone. Top that off with the fact that some of the heavy hitters on TOMB at the time, myself, Big Fan, AirHej, Joe and Derick included, were anti-ustream chat b/c people were leaving the IST and spending all their time in the chat on Ustream. We felt betrayed by this, and this was one of the things that led to the split between the forums. One of about 4 or 5 things. And you got lumped in with Jerkman :homo: , which is never good.

2. When Josh decided he would throw a temper tantrum and leave DBN, he started bashing DBN on the TOMB IST every chance he got. I then started getting PM's here every day with "look at what they are saying about us on TOMB" in the header. 10 to 20 a day I was getting. Josh was joined by other posters, including yourself, Chello and some other people who joined well after I left. This really pissed everyone off over here. Especially since at the time we were trying to shake the label of "hater forum", "other forum" and "stupid forum". Every blasphemous word that you guys posted over there drove away potential DBN members and hardened the anti-DBN feeling the show members had at the time. One person in particular that I know was driven away is that girl from Vegas. She was asked to check the site out and then half assed it and never gave it a shot b/c that was at the point were every other post on the TOMB IST seemed to be bashing DBN and I am sure negative things were sent to her about us via PM also. Josh even went so far as to put anti-DBN stuff in his signature. At that time, Covino and Spot hated us and signed on only under false names and even Rich would rip on us. We had major image issues. The "hater" label in particular was absolutely wrong and if you really look at it, TOMB had way more show hate on it than DBN. The hater label even cost us some show promotional stuff that will remain unmentioned here. Luckily now that label has been mostly lost and the guys from the show all embrace DBN, not as much as I would like them to, but they do. We still are not getting new members though, and I understand DBN members posts are getting deleted at a regular pace on TOMB as well just b/c they are DBN members or they have DBN in their sig. So you see, you were lumped into this war by Josh, even though you never posted anything here. That intensified everyone's feelings here for you as well.

I hate listening to the same commercials over and over again so when Stern goes to commercial I switch around. Plus, Stern on Friday is usually stuff I already heard so I'm all over the dial.

I'm with you on the Stretch thing. The only thing worse than the Vinnie show is having it fucking replayed right after it's over!
