Chip Wrote:Holy Thursday?
I always heard it called Maundy Thursday.
I never went to church for it, and never got my feet washed.
Compared to my Catholic friends, being Lutheran was pretty sweet.
I always thought people were saying "Monday Thursday" and wondered what they were talking about.
But I didn't want to ask because I didn't want to listen to the answer.
It's the same thing.
Just because someone can call me Mom now doesn't mean I am gonna be Betty Freakin Cocker and bake any pies.

:whomo: I could get paid like that to do next to nothing.
It honestly looks like they came to work every day and went to sleep on their desks. Servers and equipment haven't been patched for years.

So, I need to find a place with a brand new server. And I can snooze through those first few years before there's any major problems .. Using that logic.

Basically yes. When I got laid off the guy that they kept didn't know anything about servers. He's still riding on what I created while he learns. The specialized stuff that I created he just got rid of and went back to the most basic setup he could manage.

I was Catholic, but I washed my feet every day. I still do actually.
It's a ceremony and another person actually washes your feet. I went to it probably once in my life. It was different. it represents Christ washing the feet of the apostles during the last supper, which would be today

Joe Wrote:Donginator Wrote:Joe have you upgraded to windows 8.1 or 8.1 update 1 on any of your machines?
I have gotten use to Windows 8 and I am hesitant to upgrade
Oh yeah, I upgraded to 8.1 and Server 2012 R2 on all of my machines as the same day it was released. Having a button for Start is very necessary. If you have 7 I don't see many reasons to upgrade though. 8.1 is nice and all, but if I had to spend money on upgrading I wouldn't have. ( I had a technet subscription)
I actually switched over one of my laptops to Ubuntu 13.10 a few weeks ago and I have to say it's pretty sweet. Speaking of Ubuntu, version 14.10 gets released today. agree. I prefer windows 7, but when I updated my home pc, the price difference was quite a bit. So I went with 8. Its cool, no problems with it so far

Supposedly we have until mid-may to update to 8.1 then support ends. The newest update is 8.1 update 1 which came out this week

I don't get that. There's support for Windows 8 until January 9, 2018 with extended support to 2023
