A note…

After 3 years of producing Cocktails with Patrick I am no longer with the show. I laughed a lot, grew a lot and had some great opportunities with the show. I’m in an awkward limbo phase at Sirius, a professional puberty if you will. I’ve even got the pimples and weird feelings in my body! But that’s this business and that’s life.

After one of my least favorite weeks of life here is what I can say with confidence: I have the absolute BEST people around me. Like, better friends than Monica, Phoebe, Rachel, Ross, Joey, and Chandler combined. I know! Even Chandler. They have supported me, hugged me, repeatedly checked in on me, and been the absolute best. I mean some of them had to see my cry face. Ok a lot of them did. I probably owe a lot of people a gift basket. My family and friends have stepped up and been there for me so much it’s making me nervous that I might have to run away to an island and abandon them forever because how could I ever live up to that kind of niceness?? Looking for a deal on the next Oceanic flight…

Anyway - I appreciate them listening to all the ridiculous crap I was working through and their incredible advice. I can’t wait to get back to discussing the important things in life with them. You know, Justin Bieber, YouTube videos, lunch choices, etc.

And another thing I am beyond bursting with pride about: being able to be a part of this community of women (and a few very smart gentlemen!) that has grown and blossomed into something so fantastic I can’t even believe it. With the help of social networking (what up 2012) and the channel and things such as CosmoCon, so many great people have come together in a way that never would’ve happened 20 years ago. I am so excited to be a part of this group, with some people that have hardly anything in common except for being some of the funniest and kindest people on Earth (not to mention the Photoshop skills!). It is really special and those are friendships that I expect to keep for quite some time.

I need a phrase that is stronger than “thank you” because that does not begin to describe how happy and nice it makes me feel to see people reach out, tweet, even think about me one second out of their day. You have NO idea how much that means to me.

Trust me, you will hear about the next adventures in my life and I will count on your enthusiasm and support! Unless I am running away with Justin Timberlake and he asks me to keep it quiet: sorry!
