just a thought

why is it frowned upon for a "coach" to leave his job if able to go somewhere different?

when the same people who bitch about it, would leave their jobs in a heartbeat for a new "better" opportunity?

(this is not a shot at you Pete)

In this case it goes to what he said and did or didn't do. He was at a football camp two days ago and was preaching integrity and how he was going to be at Pitt a long time. His players are ripping him on the radio for being a huckster and a fraud. He also would often blame the players for losses and never take blame himself. He also would throw how much money he makes in his players faces. On top of that, by leaving 11 months after he was hired, that really really hurts a football program and it's chances of winning. Sanke oil and used car salesman are the common terms.

Here is another side to your argument. Why do people not fulfill their contracts? This guy signed a 5 year deal. The AD said "no you can not interview for other jobs" . If I sign a contract to work for a place, then I have to work for that place for the contract and not go take another job in the same field or I will get taken to court and so will my new employer.

BTW, his new deal at ASU is for the exact same money.

I agree with the "not fulfilling their contracts", but I think the school/team is at fault for not putting it in the contract that they cant leave at any point.

Plus, I would rather be rid of the coach now then have him be all pissed off that he has to stay. I think it would have hurt the program more if he stayed. Sorta like Petrino with the Falcons.

I gotta be honest, I'd rather coach in Tempe than Pittsburgh.

oh, and if I do find my bronco beanie, I'm going to feel like a shit head for wearing it, because people will think I just got it because I'm riding the tebow love train. Which I'm not. but I kind of am. whatever, It just frustrates me to see everyone loving the broncos all of a sudden. Where the fuck were you at when they have been shitty the last 10 years? oh yeah, rooting for the cowboys. fucking assholes.

I think the NCAA may actually make coaching contracts with "no leave" clauses soon. It is a black eye on the NCAA with all the coaching scandal that goes on with switching and such. It will just lead to shorter contracts, 1, 2 or 3 years max and not much more.

Having been to both their facilities, Pitt's are FAR better. Pitt has some of the best facilities in the country. As far as recent success, they are both about the same and Pitt actually has been a historically better team. Tempe might be nicer in the winter, but in the late spring, summer and early fall, I will take Pittsburgh EVERY time. Western PA is also a far better recruiting area than Arizona. So if you add all that up, Pitt is just as, if not more, enticing than ASU. Don't get me wrong, I actually like ASU a lot, just stating facts.

the NCAA has bigger issues than a coaches contract.

He is still a pussy, no matter how much money he makes. He watched teenage girl television shows and reality tv and he does not like sports. He tries to make up for it by getting complete whores to do shit naked. Take the chick part out and everyone would think he was gay.

Pittsburgh as a city has more sports championships than any other cities except New York and LA if I am correct, so your wrong there also.

He does like sports, he follows both ny football teams as well as the Ny Knicks, he isnt a fan of baseball or hockey and he watches as many shows as C&R like as well as reality tv like most of america does. try applying what he does or doesnt to to any other show and they would equal themselves out. I wasent saying that pitt doesnt have any championships or not just not important outside of pitt itself where howard is known everywhere and even more now starting in february. You know you will be watching his show just like the rest of the haters out there, admit it and bow down.
