Brampton, have you ever taken a torsion bar off a 1999 expedition? I'm changing the transfer case, and I need to get the right hand torsion bar off. It is stuck in the lower a-arm, big time. I've used the torch, and an air hammer, it won't move at all.

I'm going through major burnout at work. Dec. is busy anyway, but since we are so short-handed I am still putting in close to 50 hrs a week. The bosses had rather kill us with o/t than get us some help!!!

I worked 52 hrs last week, but I am waiting for them to tell me I need to cut back. I am going to try to here and there and hope to stay under the radar.

Which league are they? I have an OHL league team near me that preps young guys to go play in the NHL.

I remember replacing a sway bar link on my old Dakota, I just had to resort to the biggest hammer I could swing underneath my truck.

You don't need to remove the torsion bars to get it out. Undo the tension off of the bars (which I assume youve done) then undo the transfer case.

the case should come out, might be a pain, but you can get it out. If you have to hammer and heat the lower arm, the assembly is probably gonna need to be replaced if you get it loose. its gonna take a lot of material with it.
