We get stuff all the time from our HR department about about cheap vacations.
And a lot of stuff about keeping our business listings up to date.
Oh, and discounts on paving and roofing.

Except, we don't have an HR department.
Don't list our business anywhere.
And lease our office space so we don't give a shit about that stuff.

So, other then spam, ours is pointless.

But, seeing as how they haven't changed since they were invented, I still know how to work it.

Because companies that are too cheap to buy MFPs still use them. I still have to fax to our main office because we don't have a scanner.

Ironically I work for a technology company.

Doctors offices don't accept things over email either. Might be a HIPAA thing.

Why is is every time I call my boss he's in a meeting and yet the communication in this company sucks. How does it suck so bad if they are constantly in meetings!!!

Meetings were never meant to communicate. At least, not from my experience.

that is not uncommon, I had to ask how to use the old school fax yesterday too. Plus it doesnt help when one fax you just dial, the other you have to hit 9 first

Maybe you and cabbage #3 are dumb

What's so hard about a fax machine?
You put the paper in, and use that little "folded corner" logo to figure out that it goes in face down.
Then dial the number and hit send.
The only thing that could be tricky is the dialing 9 first or not.

As far as this place I am at goes. They are something used quite often. Scanning and emailing is a complicated thing to people who barely can use a computer as it is
