I can't talk b/c I don't have children, but I don't think I would put them on meds

it was absolutely the best thing we ever did for our oldest. complete change in his schoolwork, went from very low grades to all a's.

but if you are treating your child for a purpose, because they need it, you dont take away the treatment! those poor kids are probly just spun around & lost. complete lack of consistency.

On the flip side, aren't we too fast as a society to reach for a pill to fix all of our problems? I'm not saying no-one on medication need it, but we want a quick fix in the form of a pill to take care of everything for us.

we didnt make the decision lightly at all. plus, theres a family history on my husband's side. the oldest was held back one year already, & we had to do something. watching your child cry ever nite over homework cuz they just cant hold a thot is not a good way to build a foundation for education.
