I'm not a super gun expert, but it looks like an auto shotgun of some kind. The scope suggests its a rifle though. I don't see a bolt action in the pic though. Im stumped.
The barrel looks bent too.

The first rifle I ever shot was a 30-06. 8 or 9 years old. It knocked me down.

It's funny to watch a 'city-slicker' fire it for the 1st time & forget & leave it a few inches away from their shoulder. It knocks them down & dislocates their shoulder!!!
