Just an update here.
I reported for Jury duty today and didn't make it into the jury box. This month they only had two cases and the jurors were already picked for the other case, so I got out of it.The trial started immediately after selection.
They paid .50 a mi $40 for the day and paid the parking garage fee.
And if you don't report or not call off, you can face fines up to $1000.
