yeah.. books suck. I'm with Covino, I read cereal boxes and billboards.

I know, I agree too. But my mom reads all the time.
I'm thinking she'd get a ton of use out of it.

From what I have seen and read.. the Kindle seems pretty cool. You don't have to pay a monthly fee for the service, just pay for the books and you can download them anywhere. If all she wants is books, definitely go for the Kindle instead of the iPad.

I wouldn't want to stare at the iPad screen for hours reading... the Kindle is more friendly to your eyes. For just books, its perfect, and cheaper.

And you don't have to pay a monthly fee to be able to download books over 3G.

And besides, she already has a laptop, so she doesn't need an oversized iPod Touch.

Have you actually looked at a book on the iPad? I was checking out my friends over the weekend and thought it was amazing. Yes, I am a bit of an Apple fan boy but the iPad is a solid product.
