For our wedding we had a buffet style dinner. It worked well. My bitch of a mother is a picky eater and god help me I would still be hearing about it if I didn't do that. My cousin's wife and his kids are vegans and there is no way in hell I was having a sit down meal with no meat in it.

That's another reason for the buffet. People can grab what they want.
Just because someone can call me Mom now doesn't mean I am gonna be Betty Freakin Cocker and bake any pies.

We had a cash bar but bought everyone two drinks if they wanted. If the ticket was refunded, we weren't charged for it. After two drinks then they had to pay for whatever else they wanted. My mom's family aren't big drinkers except for the odd glass of wine. Jim's side of the family is small - his mom's side only drinks wine and beer and his dad's side of the family are mennonite and DO NOT drink. My dad's side of the family are the biggest drinkers.

The last two weddings I went to 1 was mine and the other was my cousins who DO NOT drink and it was a fruit juice bar. No word of lie.

JDubb Wrote:I was listening to the show but away from a computer until now. Actually I started listening early and caught part of the end of Me and Vinnie (the radios was already tuned and I was too lazy to change it for 10 minutes). Some ass-hat caller called in (probably and Ellis listener) and started slamming M & V and saying the only show gayer was "Rich and Covino." All of the guys came to the guys defense. They even said that if you are going to rip on a show at least get the name correct. I thought it was cool to hear the entire M & V cast stick up for C&R.

I actually listened to M&V today b/ I was in the mood for non sports talk radio. The show was not all bad, I enjoyed some parts. Nervous Matt called in. They also talked about Steven Segeal a bunch.

I agree middle one on drink. But what I did first wedding, was set aside a case or two of top shelf stuff for my access only. You know, Grey Goose, a nice top shelf scotch, etc, about a case worth of stuff. Then slip the bartenders a $20 each and ask them to only let you, the wife and the best man have access to it. Works out well that way and you don;t have to worry about cousin Suzie's felon excon boyfriend drinking all the top shelf shit.
