That's a long way to travel to run. I'd travel and then walk instead. You can see more. :-)

It's a price thing. Registration for each race is between $50-80, depending on which distance you choose. Add in a flight (the flight to Ottawa is $500/per person), hotel, food for 2-3 days it will add up.
I also want to do the glass slipper challenge at Disney in February so I have to pick my battles. I really want the glass slipper.
You can always pick a different one to do next year.
