I've been contemplating going to DC for the US Marine Corp 10km run in October. The Army Run in Ottawa is in September. Jim told me I would have to choose between the two of them. I can't do both.

Why can't you do both? Just because of the travel time? Screw that.

That's a long way to travel to run. I'd travel and then walk instead. You can see more. :-)

It's a price thing. Registration for each race is between $50-80, depending on which distance you choose. Add in a flight (the flight to Ottawa is $500/per person), hotel, food for 2-3 days it will add up.
I also want to do the glass slipper challenge at Disney in February so I have to pick my battles. I really want the glass slipper.

My cars fixed. It cost $100 for the part and the 25 minutes it took him to put it in. My truck is having a serious electrical draw. The alternator & starter tested good and new batteries, Jim said we may just repark it until winter until he can get to it.
His truck needs to be retired or the transmission replaced.
