Every week someone has to remind me that bowling is just a game and that we are there for fun. I'll be damned if it ever sinks in.

I love when people get really into a game or sport. I get competitive at the gym,. We post all our personal records on the wall. I make sure mine are better than everyone else.

I can't even bowl for fun outside of the league without the need to be great.

It's not even that I love to win. When we win, and I'm doing good, I'm just "oh, this is a fun reason to get out and have a few beers".
But I fucking hate to lose. When things aren't going good, I spend most of my time up at the lane in between balls fantasizing about spiking my ball on the lane, or kicking the score machine over. And just how great it would feel to actually do it.
That's usually only a small window though. It's right after that period where I still have hope that I can salvage a good night. Then after a few frames of being pissed off, I quit caring and start drinking more.

Haha. It just makes me feel so much better to imagine what it would feel like to do stuff like that.
Or shot putting the bowling ball a few lanes down.
