Monday 1/6/2014... They say its cold outside

I'm home from work because of the snow.
I just saw on the news Chicago is -42° with the wind chill. we're only -20°

It's supposed to get colder throughout the day and it looks like you might see more snow. I should only get another inch of snow today.

my snot froze in my nose walking from my front door to my car. i can't remember the last time that has happened. probaly when I lived in the mountains actually.

I just shoveled the snow off the back deck and had no frozen snot issues. I was surprised by that actually. The winds just started picking up, so I presume that the temp is dropping now.

We ended up with 13" of snow from this storm.

If the boss guy would let me take the baby with me, I would be there. I don't think many people would be stopping by there today. I could set her on a blanket and let her play while I work. He just told me to stay home that the roads are crappy even though I am nearby.

I don't remember getting this much snow since I was a kid. Usually, it will snow in December, but then there's a warm up and that snow melts. THEN there's another snowfall. The bitter temps don't normally hit until the end of January and in February. The whole timing has been way off this winter.

I am mostly annoyed that the snow is not packing good. I tried to build a snowman yesterday and it did not go well.

I usally am very okay with the cold and snow. i'm kind of annoyed by it this year though. My feet and hands are constantly cold no matter what I do, and its just kind of irritating. maybe i have the diabeetus or something.
