I just saw on the news Chicago is -42° with the wind chill. we're only -20°

we are doing alot of outdoor work today. not solid outdoors, just here and there. jump starting shit, and towing stuff to the shop. Enough that I wish I put thermals on this morning, or even my overalls.

my snot froze in my nose walking from my front door to my car. i can't remember the last time that has happened. probaly when I lived in the mountains actually.

I just shoveled the snow off the back deck and had no frozen snot issues. I was surprised by that actually. The winds just started picking up, so I presume that the temp is dropping now.

We ended up with 13" of snow from this storm.

I took a snow day today. Jim talked his mom into watching the baby for me today, but she called me this morning to give me a line up of excuses why she couldn't, so fuck it. The office is a fucking half mile from my house, but I can't go to work if no one can watch her for me. My mom's road hasn't been plowed since yesterday and she's getting lots of drifting snow right now.
