I am actually rooting for a Lions Steelers Super Bowl, but both teams are so banged up, it is a long shot for both fo sho. I think the lions get delmas back this week but they are on their 4th corner right now. If the d line can get pressure that might change things.

LeNeve Wrote:Derick Wrote:LeNeve Wrote:Derick Wrote:any of you mechanic types ever install a time sert?
yeah. put them in aluminum heads for stripped out spark plugs. they have all held so far. No leaks, and are constantly under cylinder compression.
are they aluminum inserts or steel?
steal inserts. solid one piece thing. you might not even have to drill the old hole. Just run the timesert in, and hit the top with a hammer, and special punch, that comes with the kit, to smoosh it locked in. Use loctite on them too.
I heard you should use loctite on every fastener for a motorctcle. i dont know about every fastener, but under the stress i put on it bolts definatly loosen up, and go missing. Thats why you safety wire the important ones, like caliper bolts, drain plugs, etc

I bet its a bunch, because it's fucking hot in here. heaters constantly going. 80 degrees in my area, because thats where the heter starts. I'm sweating my ass off, in a t shirt, and my boss is 60 feet away, and has his stocking hat, and jacket on still. I ned to switch spots with him

The heat still hasn't come on in our office.
We moved offices, same building though, this summer.
I don't think they guy in charge ever remembered to turn the heat on for this office.
I have a space heater, but it's fucking freezing in here.

When I worked in the office at Maxim I always had a sweater hanging off my chair. My desk sat directly below the only heat vent that came downstair from the upper floor. In the winter they turned the heat down upstairs because it was too warm and in the summer they cranked the air conditioner. It sucked ass.

I keep a hoodie here, but in other years I've only needed it for the first hour or two each morning. After about 8, the heat would come on, on it's normal schedule. Not in this office yet.
