cross threaded gas tank bolt hole, but also used to support the steering stabilizer. If it was a bolt that didnt get removed 15 times a year, i'd go with a helicoil, but it was recommended to use a time sert due to repeated use. Guy want $75 to install

I like taking them apart, and figuring out the reason they are doing stuff. Our service manager is pretty good at selling remans though, so a few times a year at most, I'll have one apart.

I would go with an oversized bolt and rethread the hole. A heli coil should work fine, as long as you are properly torquing it and not hitting it with an impact gun

cant go with oversized bolt, unless I can find one with the same head size. its mounted into aluminum, and needs to withstand the lateral stress caused by the stabilizer. also should mention this is in aluminum, the holes are actually in the frame
