We are tentatively planning to once again attend a Mets game during the Dudebro Convention. Once again, the Yankees aren't in town that week.
We'll need to decide what day we want to go. Our choices will be Wednesday (6/1), Friday (6/3), or Saturday (6/4). The Mets play the Pirates on Wednesday, and they play the Braves over the weekend. The good news is that all of these games are in the Mets "Value" package which means the tickets are the lowest price available. I think we are currently leaning to Wednesday because we want to have a big bar meeting and possibly find a bigger event to attend over the weekend. Plus, I always want to see the Pirates, haha.
Here is the breakdown for ticket prices (providing we have a group of 25 or more):
Baseline Box $36.00
Left Field Reserved $28.80
Left Field Landing $25.20
Pepsi Porch $25.20
Big Apple Reserved $21.60
Promenade Box $25.20
Promenade Reserved Infield $13.50
Promenade Reserved $10.80
In my opinion, outside of getting "baller" box seats, I think the best place to sit is the same place we sat last year - the Promenade Reserved Infield. It's in the upper deck, but you can see everything because the whole field is right in front of you. Plus, it's only $13.50 which is SUPER cheap...that's almost as low as what the Pirates charge for similar seats. I don't see the advantage of spending more for a seat in the outfield or on the sides of the stadium in the upper deck where your perspective is all messed up.
I suppose there's no hurry in getting the tickets. I'll probably want to get them ordered right around the start of the season in April so I have enough time to make sure I get them. I'll probably cut off the signups in early April so I know how many tickets to get. So if you want to go, please let me know at your convenience. Make sure you tell me how many tickets you will need if you are bringing more than one person.
