Umm, what dat mean?!?!?!?!?!?

It's like when I took a pay cut and I asked the boss if our jobs were next and they said "No it's only a temporary thing so there's nothing to worry about." 2 Months later I was unemployed.

I'm just stirring up the pot of course. I don't really think C&R are gettign canned. It just sounds like management is tugging them along. How long ago was the time slot change?

It all comes down to what Howard does.

If Howard leaves don't think think they'll get rid of the Howard stations? It already sounds like Bubba isn't too positive about returning to Sirius. They could throw Farrell on a sports station and kill off the rest of the BS shows on those stations. I don't see how that matters to what happens to C&R.

Sirius needs to do somethign with their new talent and stop focussing on old radio people that are becoming less relevant. Perfect example would be Ron and Fezz.

Obviously having new shows on 108 is good for business. I don't dispute that...and I know that's the reason why C&R are losing time on the channel. It's just frustrating as a fan because any chance they are on is a chance for people to hear the show, not to mention other opportunities for me to record the show if I happen to miss things (which happens probably 2 days out of 5 every week). Once I get my "good" computer back in working order, there's a good chance that my recordings will be missing pieces here and there due to the changes. There's not a whole lot I can do about that.

If Howard does decide to retire, then I hope to God they push younger shows like C&R and give them plenty of publicity. Their partnership with Budweiser is their ace in the hole. This could be huge from a program and monetary standpoint. I also hope that either way Spice ends up on their own channel so that they C&R won't be affiliated with that crap anymore...plus they should get a replay back in that slot.

I agree with this. Even some of the commercials really cheapen the show up. It's like if you create a station for guys it has to be completely classless.

JDubb Wrote:The whole idea of replays started with Howard. They didn't originally replay during the day. I am ok with fewer replays if they were substituting with quality programming instead but that isn't what they are doing. Wine and Web is good but I agree we don't need more radio porn.

So, what time slot will radio porn be in? I am pretty sure that not something most us can't get away with listening to at work. Confusedad:

They just need to get on a good channel with other cool shows.
Not on a shit channel with lame shows and porn.

Don't forget, this evening replay thing is a newer thing for t hem.

When Maxim radio started the live programming was noon to midnight, then it moved to 10AM to 11PM, then the replays kicked in over night. This lasted as long as Maxim radio did, 4 years. And I thought it was a good setup. They also did complete replays on the weekends as well.

I can honestly say my radio never left 108 from 10AM to 11PM.
I was a Little League superstar, don't hate.

I'm with Pete. My radio never left 108 from the time I went to work until I got home.

Maxim radio was cool because the shows referred to each other in a positive way and the shows just rolled right into each other.

There are so many talk shows on Sirius that they could reorganize them, cut down on the amount of stations they have and fill up all of the gaps that they have on each station. I don't understand things like having Farrell on a Howard station when he does sports talk. How does sports talk have anything to do with Howard other than Farrell's connection to Howard personally?

It seems like they hire all these big names and give each of them their own station to fill the time slot they want and then you wind up with stations that only have live programming for part of the day.

I used to hear every show before the time change. With the new timeslot, the replays are all get to hear. Now that that's going, i don't know if i'll be able to catch the show at all. Confusedwoot:

There is no personal connection; only that Howard hired Ferrall. I assume it's to keep guys listening to Howard's channels. If I'm in my car at that time I always listen to Ferrall. The only time aside from commercials that I switch is if he gets into college basketball for a while.

I just got an email from Sirius that my subscription will automatically renew Dec 15. I will call them and cancel.
