You went from 80k to 36k? Talk about a change in lifestyle! I wanted to die when I got laid off making 83K and had to take a job for 65K.

like I said it'll end up being about 50. but still 80 to 50 is huge. Lucky I made 80 so I could take a job for less. But this was a huge move career wise, even though the money isnt what it should be.

Yeah. I'm not rolling around in dollars, but I do pretty good for being a high school graduate, that didn't really settle down until 4 years ago.

My highest degree is high school.
Same here. I did become a surgical asst. for a short time and work for a group of CardioVascular surgeons. I harvested the safaneous vein used in coronary artery bypass graft procedures(open heart surgery) which means that I cut you open then cut the main vein going down your legs that is used to bypass your blocked arteries in your heart.
I didn't last long in that field because I had trouble dealing with "God" complexes!
When I met my wife, she was finishing up her Masters. She encouraged me to pursue my passion of getting my undergraduate. My goal is to graduate and retire the same week(ha). I don't want to change careers FedEx has a good retirement plan. It's strictly a personal goal to finish!!!

I put in a few years in 2 colleges. I got pissed at the first one, it seemed like they couldn't get their CIS program together.. I was supposed to take classes that they weren't offering and such. Then I switched to another college, which made me retake the basics which I already knew... My HTML instructor was dumb as fuck. She could never figure out why her codes didn't work, I ended up helping her... I wasn't happy to pay for a class that I knew more than the instructor. Easy A, yes, but I got nothing else out of it. Then i dropped for numerous reasons.
Just because someone can call me Mom now doesn't mean I am gonna be Betty Freakin Cocker and bake any pies.
