I JUST drove past a construction site. They have the parkway east in PGH, usually 4 lanes, down to 1 lane. 10 guys at one point on a 5 mile closure. 1 guy working, the rest standing around doing nothing.

They're all in unions. Outside of "normal" working hours (such as through the night while traffic is light), are higher rates. So instead of $50 an hour, they get time and a half to work through the night, with a 10% night differential. Working on weekends are either time and a half or double time. If you want to speed it up, outsource the work to Private industry who will finish it on time or earlier so they can take advantage of new projects and other work. Pendot has NO incentive to work faster or harder. They have a monopoly (which should actually be illegal) on the highway projects.

It's the Pa government doing what the fuck they want, and it's bullshit. It's the Communist Wealth of Penazivania.
They had a private company from Camphill widen US Rt 30 out past where I work in Chambersburg when it was redone a few years ago. That project lasted well over a year and they had a deadline to meet.

Maybe they got hacked?? I don't know computers but I just had to do a factory restore on my laptop because i got a virus. It e-mailed my entire contacts some bs link, and made themself system administrator, disabled my anti virus and i couldn't get online. I'm wondering if it came from Tomb.

Kansas weather. It hit 100 by noon, with the wind blowing, then by 5pm it was down to 70. I don't go outside when it is hot, or the wind is blowing. So My saturday was wasted sitting inside watching tv, and sleeping.

I know it shouldn't bother me, but it does irritate me that C&R constantly bring up topics which we have already discussed on this forum, yet they completely diss us. Most of us were the top posters on that other forum and only left cause they allowed morons to call the shots and ruined the vibe. I also don't think the new site is all that fantastic, it looks the same to me, minus the spyware alerts.
