Hmmm. That is a tough call at this point for you.

I probably would say it would be OK. I will warn you that after drinking an Oktoberfest, everything short of a Porter or Stout will have no taste. So if you do get it, don't expect to be able to change to something else until your pallet resets.

An Oktoberfest is an explosion of tastes. It is one of he hardest beers to brew well which is why it is always a limited supply.

If I could get 6 packs I'd be trying everything. If I don't like a beer I can still take down the 5 remaining beers no matter how bad they are.

I bought a case of Guinness Extra Stout once and that was the one beer that I couldn't do. I couldn't give it away either. You could polish your shoes with that stuff.

I think I may buy a case of Troegs Java Head Stout tonight. It's a local thing, but the coffee taste sounds good to me.

The coffee would kill it for me. I hate the taste of coffee, especially in beer.:barf: I like big malty/carmelly beers not coffee though.

Beer styles have always confused me. I'll wind up trying anything and deciding on whether I like that beer or not. For a long time I didn't know the difference between a porter, a stout and an ale was so I never knew what to lean towards. I would just tell the bartneder that I liked dark beers and let them give me whatever they had.

This is a pretty good list of beer styles for a noob like myself.

That would make a great separate thread. :poke:

They only sell it by the six pack. All the better beers are all six pack, with the exception of corona which you can buy 6, 12, or 20.

I was going to wait for the weekend to try this oktober fest, but I can't wait. I'm getting a six pack tonight. I feel like a dog let off his leash ever since I stopped drinking bl. I have such a huge interest in beer now.

I LOVE IT!!!!!

I can't pin point the flavors I taste, but they are all good. So smooth, with this after taste that lingers pleasantly.

I need to start drinking less, or making more money. It's getting harder and harder to drink the cheap stuff now.

I'm so glad that this beer forum is here, and there are experts commenting. Thank you all very much.

:high5:

That's what I like to hear.

Not everybody is going to like everything, keep that in mind, but there is so much out there that you probably will like.
