Honestly, I've never had an issue with going to the DMV. The most that I've ever seen in line at once is 4 people.

It took me 15 minutes to get my new liscence. Drive to court house 3 minutes, 9 minutes to turn in my test, and take pic, then 3 minutes back to work.

Took me 10 minutes to get my tags last month.

It just seems like a long drawn out time, because it's boring, and annoying to do. If there was cool shit to do while you wait it wouldn't seem like a long time at all.
