oh yeah, it would be 17.8 miles long north to south, and 17.8 east to west. I think.

So it would be 248.8 square miles.

so that is pretty substantial. that would destroy a small city, 100,000 to 300,000 population probaly.

What got me thinking about this globe thing was that sometimes you see a globe and people have little pins stuck in it to all the places they have traveled. Then I got to thinking what if we were on a globe, and some pompous asshole was poking pins in it to show off his travels, and how much destruction it might cause.

i solved this as a linear problem, if you solve this as an area problem you end up differently, cause you would first take pie r^2 times the ratio to get the area of a big circle, but then you have to convert that to sq milage, but your going to loose x amount do to the size difference between a cirlce and a square
