Nothing would make me more happy than a Tigers sweep. IF the Yanks and the Brewers get swept in the first round I will buy you all a beer.

I was at both the games here back in 2006, those were by FAR, the greatest sporting events I've ever been to.

I tried getting tickets to that years playoffs in Detroit. I was online early and everything and ticketmaster got crushed, I never got through to get them.

I went to those 2 games, then one against Oakland.
The rush from the crowd because they were actually IN the playoffs, and winning a round made the Yankee series better.
But I heard the game with the walk off homer to put them in the World Series was insane.

I did.
It was pretty good.
But I think the temp change might have gotten to it a bit.

Yeah, I fucked up and put the entire case in the frig when I got home, then pulled that six pack out. Next time I will just bring a warm case with me.

Have you had Bell's?
Or Arcadia?

My bosses had season tickets that year, so we were able to get 4 tickets to every game, but they started getting expensive.
I think the World Series were $150, face value.

Yeah, but all that money starts adding up.
3 playoff games before that was enough money.
We still went downtown for all those games.

One of the WS games, we were going to leave downtown so we could watch it at a local bar.
There were huge lines at every bar downtown, so we couldn't get in..
We got back to our cars to find out that they were blocked in. WTF?
So we walked to a liquor store, and somehow had pizza ordered to a billboard nearby. (We didn't have smart phones back then)
I'm not sure how we found the pizza place's number, they were surprised when we called too.

$150 is just going off memory, it may have been up to $225, I don't really remember.
But, I do know those were the cheapest seats.

in his quest for the batting title.....He bunted a single in the first inning, then sat himself out for the game, using a pinch runner

He decided to do it. Then his manager cried in the post game press conference.......I now hate the mets. Theyve been added to the hate list. Not the don't like list
