Why are tools so expensive? I understand you have to pay for the quality stuff, but it still seems like they are marked up at like 1000% profit to me. It can't take that much to make as the expense is to buy. To me it is kind of like the inflation on medical costs in the US, pure profit and marked up way more than it should be.

I'm sure the stuff you use for surveilence isn't cheap...right?

but because it is a limited market, the price will go up. Supply and demand.

Actually I can get most of what I need cheap. The only real expenses are video camera, which my company bought for me, and a laptop, which I would have anyway. Most everything else is paid for by the company, recorders, batteries, converters, all expensed to my company. I do buy some stuff on my own to play around with, but I can not remember paying over $100 for anything, in fact only over $50 a few times.

I just feel they are ripping mechanics off and I do not agree with it.

I agree. ad: I'm probaly sitting next to 20k or more right now. just so I can make money.
