I was never charged an upgrade fee or activation fee by Verizon, but I still hate them. I did read a story today that said they were going to charge, it's either 30 or 36 when you upgrade, sometime in late April it goes in to effect.

Like they don't get enough of my money each month. They did away with the free phone when you renewed and changed it to a $100 off, then they changed it again to $50 off and the guy told me that they will be doing away with the discount all-together. I might have to stick with getting new phones by calling them and tslking them into hooking me up.

hooking is your best option, although I ususally just see white guys working at Verizon.

Them being white is a non-issue. I have met a few black guys at Verizon though.
