The old Packard Plant is where to go if you want to check out an abandoned plant.
The scene in Transformers where the Autobots made their big "we're not dead" return was shot at that plant.

That page is pretty cool, if you slide your mouse from one side of the page to the other, it fades from "now" to "then" pictures.
Oh yeah, I forgot, the Packard plant was where I took that picture with Optimus Prime

I saw something online about this a few months ago. There are several of these instances throughout the country of iconic buildings and locations in total disrepair. it's sad.
