Summer 1997, I was 18 and working at a jiffy lube in Wichita KS. (thats a story in itself). Well shit went down, and I had to get back to southwest Kansas within a week. This maniac hillbilly I worked with said I could buy a nissan sentra from his friend. This hillbilly was wackadoo too. Had porn magazines in his car of fat chicks. He was alway talking about how he was related to the hatfields or mcoys, don't remember which one now.
So the plan was to get paid on Friday, buy the car, and I would head home. Didn't work out that way. I ended up stuck at his trailor that night. A fat guy was giving a skinny guy tatoos, with some jimmy rigged tat gun. They would only take breaks to shoot drugs. Who knows what they were shooting. I just sipped a beer, didn't want to have any kind of impairment in that situation.
Next day same thing, he put it off, said his friend wasn't home. So Saturday night was the same as the night before pretty much. Sunday morning we go to the guy to buy the car. I give him 250 bucks, and he takes off down the street. I was like, FUCK!!!!!! The hillbilly guy said to chill, he just went down the street to buy some heroin. okay :? Dude comes back an hour later, all mellowed out and shit, and says lets go to the grocery store to get the title transfered.

anyway, I thank everyone, say by. The hillbilly says I can't drive without tags. So I made a temp one out of paper, and a sharpie. He says he will follow me all the way back so I don't get arrested. This is a 5 hour drive one way. He insisted. I said fine, whatever. I planned on ditching him when I got close enough home. I had him buy me beer in Liberal Ks, which has a store on the oklahoma border that sales beer on sundays. Then I said lets stop for gas, and when he was inside, I hauled ass. Never seen him again. Went to my friends house that night, partied, and drove that stupid car with the fake tag for at least 2 more weeks.
