Well I haven't been here long, 6 weeks, but my journey here took some time. I started out working on a floor crew at the local NBC affiliate after college. From there I moved to the Twin Cities working for a company called CONUS communications as a satellite traffic jockey, bringing satellite news gathering trucks "up and down off" satellites. From there I moved to a new cool start-up DirecTV/USSB direct broadcast satellite service as a shift supervisor and eventually the Director of Training for the broadcast center. When DirecTV bought USSB I became unemployed for a short period until working for Time Warner Cable's "start-up" Road Runner high-speed Internet service. I had a good run there until TWC and Comcast merged the Twin Cities under Comcast. Comcast "eliminated" me and I became unemployed again, this time for 12 months. :killme: The best thing about that layoff was spending time with my friends here (thanks a lot  ). From there I went to work for a company that processed class-action law suits as a workforce manager. I was responsible for all of the hourly employees (350 down to 75) when my position was eliminated this past January. After another stint of unemployment and hanging with my DBN/CnR friends I landed with Cummins Power Generation. I have been here about 6 weeks but really like the company and will hopefully be here for a while. The next job change I make I want to be my decision not the company I'm working for.
How many different type of job's did you have before you settled in?
I mowed lawns as a kid. Bus boy, pizza maker,mc d's for a couple months, big y, stair company, auto body helper, horseshoeing apprentice and a shitload of construction type jobs. Roofing siding framing, remodeling, trim, windows, doors, decks.
Been steady doing that type of stuff for about 12 years.

Different location every 2 weeks or so. Don't have to be PC, make dumb jokes and bust eachother's balls to make the day go by. Don't think i could do the whole office space cubicle listening to lumgherg thing. If you got a problem with someone at my job, you can just tell them to go fuck themselfs, no big deal.

Ranch hand at a Colorado resort at the age of 13. Stacking hay, saddling horses for tourists, fedding the petting zoo animals, stuff like that. A&W, Wendy's, Taco Bell from the age of 14-16. There were some "pay by the day" jobs mixed in too. Carpet laying apprentice, snow shoveling, and spring break, summer work at the Farm in Kansas. 16-18 years old moved to Kansas. Straight up wheat farm work. Driving tractors, trucks and combines, checking mile long sprinklers, and working on the endless vehicles that were broke down.

18 years old. Went to work for seaboard commercial pig farms for 3 months. Lived off the check for awhile. Jiffy Lube in Wichita Ks for 3 months, then back to S.W. Kansas at the pig farms again. Then the family farm again for a month. Then an alfalfa farm (hay). Then a potato farm.

Then I washed cop cars for a year. Back to the family farm for a month. Then to an engine building shop for 4 years. Then to a john deere tractor dealership as a technician, after that a 24/7 factory that makes under ground pipe, working 12 hour shifts at night.

Spent a month not working, then on August 1st of 2006 I started working at a Ford dealer as a technician, and I'm still there, 4 years later.
