I work a 9/8/80. I get every other Friday off. I love that schedule.

I'd do 3 13s if the commute didn't exist.

Oh yeah it would have to be at home.  But at this point I would quit any job that had me in the office regularly.  I can't go back

That is dope.  Do you know which Friday it will be going forward, and can you change it when needed?  I would think it would change the game for vacation time

I'm so over this commute to the city. The walking is nice cause it helps not get fat, but the weather sucks in the winter. I just don't want to do 1 to 1.5 hours each way anymore.

A software company in Center City Philly.    It's the worst job I could have ever imagined.

That sucks.  You have had a bad run of jobs.  Did you ever have one you enjoyed most days?

That sucks.  You have had a bad run of jobs.  Did you ever have one you enjoyed most days?

A few here and there, but the last 10 years I've been dodging layoffs and trying to stay afloat.   The last company decided this Christmas was a great time to outsource to India so I split and came here.   This one is AWFUL so I'll be splitting shortly.   (Hopefully Friday)

Yeah, it's revolving (is that the word I'm looking for? haha). So I'm off this Friday, the next friday I work one hour less. Then the following Friday, I'm off. So all of my Friday's are on the calendar and never change. It does work great for vacations. We usually plan vacations on the weeks that I'm off on Friday so that I don't have to use a day off. 

A few years ago, my boss would let me switch the day off only for that week that I was off on Friday. So if I needed to be off Wednesday, she would let me take that day off but work on Friday. My boss now doesn't allow that.

Yes, I did two interviews with a big law firm in Jersey and they derided to pass for some reason after introducing me to everyone and giving me a tour.   I interview with American Water on Thursday and I'm hopeful for that one.

That is sweet.  I would totally be on board with that, but I don't see that in my future anytime soon though.  I took a promotion at my main job at the end of last year, its perfect in so many ways, a role I fought for.  But it comes with an "always be ready" kind of pressure, so never being around 26 Fridays a year wouldn't fly
