So yesterday, coming to work, the one big freeway I take to work, I-75, was closed because a semi spilled chicken wings all over the road.

Some truckers are dumb, literally it's because the only thing they can do is that. However sometimes it depends on the situation.
Yesterday in Winnipeg three cars slammed on their brakes for some reason and a semi hauling train rails to the scrap yard were behind him. To avoid hitting everyone he slammed on his too. Unfortunately the deck of the load bed had ice on it or he didn't wrap the load properly or both. the rails shifted and went through the back of the cab killing him.
