New beers
#1
Been awhile since I've posted new beers I've had.

Well.. I've tried two new beers this week. Both fantastic.

First one is a Kansas brewed dark beer. "Buffalo Sweat" oatmeal cream ale.

Black color in the glass. Very strong coffee and cocoa flavors. Really tasty.

Second is a pale ale from Oregon.

Dead guy rogue.

Bitter like an IPA but not overwhelming. Fruity like a bag of trailmix, dried pineapple, citrus flavored. Good stuff.

I recommend both if you stumble across them.

Jim and I received a gift certicate to Barley Brothers from a contractor we worked all summer with. It's a brewery/restauarant. Neither Jim nor I drink beer so either we will take some friends out for dinner one time and use it up or we will give to my dad. The place is pretty cool. A couple of friends go all the time and they say the place is great. They have 150 different types of craft beers on tap.
Check it out.

This is the beer I'm trying this week.
And honestly, I got it because it's a Michigan beer, and, it has this name with this label.
Good, but really hoppy.
7.5% ABV

Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster

Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is a Double Belgian IPA brewed exclusively with Galaxy hops. The nose is an impressive blend of citrus aromas reminiscent of guava and lemons. It also has subtle Belgian yeast esters. An intense, clean bitterness dominates the flavor profile, with little malt character to compete with. A fruity yeast sweetness is noticeable in the finish, alongside a resounding bitterness.

This was the last new beer I tried, also Short's.
I really like this.

Noble Chaos is an Oktoberfest/Marzen (German-style amber lager) with a subtle hop bouquet and toasted caramel malt flavors. It is a well-balanced beer that finishes fresh and clean. With a pleasant nose and medium body, this brew is a taste of the fall season.
