I started bowling last night.
First time I bowled all summer.
I meant to go during the summer, but closing my car door on my thumb put a damper on that.
I'd still like a couple more weeks off because I think it's starting to get ingrown a bit.

I picked up a new ball before I started last night and as soon as I put my thumb in to get the thumb drilled to the right size, it started to bleed.
But once they drilled it right, it didn't bleed, it just hurt.
Then it took me until the middle of the first game to remember how to bowl and I ended up 597 series.
I think I'm going to like this ball.

Damn I miss bowling. I bought a $300 ball the year I quit and moved to PA.

I would love to have the time/money/places to go, to get into that stuff.
It would be like a dream come true for the kid in me.

Damn I miss bowling. I bought a $300 ball the year I quit and moved to PA.

The ball I bought last year was like $225. It was the first one I bought in years.
It was the new version of my old ball. A Storm Virtual Gravity.
I tried it for almost half the year and I just couldn't get it to work right.
It hooked way to much.
I put a lot of spin on it, and it turns out this ball is made for heavy oil.

So I looked around and found one for medium/light oil. The guy sold it to me for $135, and that included drilling and plugs.
And I think I'm going to love this one.
