My second Mother's Day as a mom is done and over with. What a cluster fuck of a weekend. Jim's grandma lives in one of the worst parts of Flint, she is like 90 yrs old and senile. Jim calls her "Satan", because she is not overly friendly (She loves to drink and party more than anything)... Any whoo... Some thugs broke into her house Early Saturday morning, ransacked the place and beat her up a little. She can't tell what happened either, but she's got some bruises on her body. You can tell they roughed her up when they yanked the rings off her fingers. If those fuckers walked out of that house with more than $20 worth of crap. She had nothing of actual value in that house, just old people stuff. That changed a lot of our plans for the weekend, too.
The cookout Jim and I threw together yesterday went well though. Satan even hugged me when she left... she's NEVER hugged me before.

I had a late night at the backstreet boys concert (1am before i got to bed) then got up at 445am to go to the gym and I was to pumped up to go back to bed when I got home. Im exhausted and angry. I've yelled at 3 people already this morning... it's raining and I have to pour piles this afternoon and I truly do hope its cancelled.

B, did you get anything for Mothers Day?!?
I got a handprint with a poem from my daughter from school. My son made me a necklace with his thumbprint with his name and the year written on it. Jim got me the BSB tickets and some flowers.

It happens. Basements, garage floors we've done in the rain. I've done a few walls but usually piles get cancelled because as soon as they drill they start to fill up with rain and it fucks up the concrete even if you leave it a bit thick.
I just figured that that trying to pour cement in rainy weather was never a good idea.. I could see if it was inside an enclosed building, though.

I got a Hallmark card with me being referred to as Jim's Wife. My mom got me some Godiva chocolate, though. I love my mommy. :grin:

T, I have seen some cool handprint projects on Pinterest that I might do this week with Bri. And that would be my "gift" from her, she kept hugging me yesterday and that was just awesome. I can't wait for her to get old enough to make me those corny little cards with the scribbles.
