Not everyone, just dealers. If I had been home, or even within my 100 mile AAA towing radius, I would have taken it to my guy, and it would have cost at least $400 less.

I am still talking mad shit about the dealership I used to work at, especially after I found out they were screwing me over on the oil changes on my car. When it warms up more, I am just going to have my cousin teach me how to do that myself. I am tired of being ripped off on basic car maintenance.

They overcharge also. I could have gotten those parts at least 20% cheaper. They had me over a rock since I was out of town and had no choice.

Remember, I grew up in car dealerships. I know what goes on there. They are a fucking rip off across the board, but especially in service. I am surprised anyone ever takes their car to a dealer for service, especially routine service.

I know there are good guys like Brampton and LeNeve, but let's face it, how many time have they told us about ripping the customer off and billing exorbitant times for shit that takes less?

And a $130 labor rate should equal at least $65 directly to the guy fixing it too. If you are going to charge that amount, at least compensate the guy doing the work so that the work is done right.

And that flat rate stuff Brampton talked about, needs to go. I don't think they do that around here though, as everywhere I have ever been it is an hourly rate.

This has long been a pet peeve of mine, since I watched it first hand growing up. And it is no secret that the industry is a scam also.

Today is day 5 of the pushup month. I have done 50 of my 125 for today already.

A little muscle and joint pain, but nothing major.

Next two days are rest days.

I might make it through next week, but the weeks after that, might be close to impossible.

I was going to attempt it, but I kicked Jim for being a wise ass and I think I may have cracked my toes. My foot is slightly swollen and my big toe and the next 2 toes are black and blue.

I am still talking mad shit about the dealership I used to work at, especially after I found out they were screwing me over on the oil changes on my car. When it warms up more, I am just going to have my cousin teach me how to do that myself. I am tired of being ripped off on basic car maintenance.

I do most of my routine maintenance myself.

I don't do oil changes or brakes b/c it takes more time than I have to do it.

But changing lights, filters, hoses, belts and such I do myself.

If I were ever to have more free time, I would do oil and brakes also.
