Dropbox is currently running a promotion that extends the available storage space for users who use the service’s photo import feature.

Storage space is increased in 500 Megabyte chunks by a maximum of 5.0 Gigabytes. For this to work, it is necessary to run the new Dropbox 1.3.12 client. This client is experimental and only linked at the Dropbox forum and not on the main site. Get it here:

It's a 17k zip file containing JPG files that worth 4.5G and it's recognized by Dropbox client.
All you have to do it's just
1.download that file
2.extract it to a SD card ( Extract it twice. First time to a tar file, then from the tar files to pictures. Download 7zip if you don't have any zip software)
3.start the auto play export to Dropbox (take out and re-plug the SD card, run from windows right click menu w/e you need to get it export)
3.5 If you do this with a USB drive and try to import and Dropbox says "No new photos found", create a folder in the root of your USB drive named DCIM and place the images there.
4.Let it run till all file are sync to your local Dropbox folder.
5.At this point you should have all your 4.5g space enabled, verify that, and delete all the files in local Dropbox folder.
Done.... in 10min
6. Add 500 MB of extra pics beyond this to enable the last 500 MB for a total of 5.0 GB

I have a dropbox account for work. They set it up for me and eveything. I place pictures, documents and video in it and then work pulls it out on the other end.

Would I be able to use the work one for my own personal stuff?

Yes to both questions. It's associated with an email address so you could switch back and forth via the web portal. You can only have one account synced on a computer at a time though but you could still switch back and forth with them.

Click the “avançar” button. Click the “avançar” button again.

Enter a (bogus) e-mail address. This won't be verified and does NOT have to be the same as your Dropbox e-mail address.

Dt de Nascimento is a day of birth. Day, month, year format. Telefone and Celular are phone numbers.

In the first box (area code?) use 34. I entered eight random numbers for the phone numbers. A different one for both boxes.

Check the box next to "Concordo com as Condições Gerais". Click the “avançar” button.

On the next page, select "GT-S5570B" from the drop-down box.

Leave the base number alone, and enter a five digit number in the serial number box. Click generate.
Paste the resulting number in the IMEI box on the Samsung page and click "adicionar produto" to attempt to add the number.

It will add the device, IMEI, and a red minus sign in the area below the entry form if the number was accepted.

If the IMEI was not accepted and the device was not added, go back to the IMEI generator page and increase the serial number by one.

Repeat submission until it is accepted.

Click the “avançar” button.

On the next page, you will see a code under "Codigo Promocional".
