I never really thought I was going to have much of a future growing up and when I quit my job working on cars I thought I'd be living with my parents forever. I made a decision to take a job where my friend's mom worked because she said they'd pay for school. I used that opportunity to get a free education. I can't point it all back to being lucky though because I've always a great worth ethic and I think that's how I'm still doing what I'm doing.

The RM recycle contract -> A high school friends dad is one of the councillors.
The Town snow contract -> I went to high school with the guy and JIm's mom used to work for the town so she knows all the people.
The Seed contract -> I taught the GM's son when he was in grade 5 and Jim's brother worked for him while in high school.
and the contract we are working on right now... Jim went to work for them in 2006 through a different company. If we get this contract we are made for a very long time. $80/hour , minimum 30 hrs a week.
Yeha, getting out and networking, and busting your ass will help.
But it's not that simple.
It just annoys me when people who make money, imply that other people don't just because they didn't work hard enough.
