Try USENET and VCDquality.com

You'll see new movies there within days of theatrical release. I'd much rather do USENET than torrents...

Ok, but what quality are they? these are DVDRip quality. I can not watch a movie from a cam.

I wish I could find a product key for Windows server 2008. If you come across any let me know.

YOu won't get DVD quality in the first few days most of the time...although occassionally a DVD screener will get leaked. For example Gran Torino was out in DVD quality two weeks before it was out at the theaters.

All a matter of preference really...I find the majority of the stuff certainly watchable....and I'm too impatient to wait months for a DVD rip to come out.

the wolverine screaner is out there too , might take a bit of searching .

in fact just search " scr " on the various torrent sites , with it set for the most recent listed first , and many movies will be listed there , before they are released in theaters .

Why the fuck isn't 'I Love You Man' available yet? I got a shitty cam version that is so bad, i refuse to watch it. Usually by now there is a telesync available, which the video is decent, and audio is pretty damn good.

Can someone explain this to me again and include the best website for downloading what I need?

A buddy and I were trying to get some movies for the plane this past weekend, I told him to look into torents, but he couldn't find anything solid online.

1. Go here and download the uTorrent client. You need this program to open and download the torrents.
http://www.utorrent.com/

2. Install that and once installed go here to configure your uTorrent for maximum effectiveness.
http://www.utorrent.com/documentation/connection-setup/

3. Set your target folder where you want the downloads to go to.

4. Use a torrent site like btjunkie.org, isohunt.com or get someone to get you an invite to a private tracker site like demonoid to search for your selected file/movie/album/software. Click the torrent you want then on most sites there will be a page with reviews. READ THEM FOR FEEDBACK. The feedback will let you know the movie quality or if there is a virus or other malware in the file. If there isn't there will be a like saying something to the effect of "Download this torrent". Click it and either save the torrent to a folder you are going to dedicate to just torrents. I just use the "open with" function and use uTorrent and say "always use this program to open these files" or whatever since I have no other software on my PC for torrents. It also saves you from having all the torrent files saved on your PC.

5. uTorrent is going to ask you where to save the downloaded files. Again I recomment setting up a folder for your downloads just because its easier than always going into your program files to find the uTorrent folder in program files and everything. If you set a default folder you simple just have to pick the files you want off of the list that is given by checking them off and click "ok". This is handy if you are downloading a CD and only want certain songs or a discography and only want certain albums. In the case of movies you often take all the files but some come with ".srt" files which are subtitles for downloaders of different languages and i usually just dont download them.

6. Once the download starts in uTorrent I usually like to right click it and set my bandwidth allocation to high and force start the download. I find I get better speeds this way. Also when clicked on a specific torrent I usually go to the bottom pane and click the "files" tab and go to the specific files in the download and right click and set the priority to high.

7. Then wait for the download to finish and when it is done leave the file in uTorrent to upload for others until your share ratio is 0.8 or higher. The share ratio is found across the top of your download/upload pane and tells you how much of the file you downloaded has been distributed by you. 1.0 means you have uploaded a full copy (100%) of that file back out to the masses and is the best way to do things as it helps keep the community stronger. Most private trackers like demonoid require you as a member to maintain a share ratio of at least 0.8 or 80% to retain your membership so depending where you download from allowing others to get the file off you is mandatory. Once the download is done i usually upload it to 2.0 or higher or leave it to upload until the popularity of the file dies down and people arent downloading it as much anymore. Afterall the more people who have the file and are sharing it the faster it is for you to get too.

Thats about it in a nutshell... I recommend www.btjunkie.org as a non private tracker. I find they have the best stuff for being a free tracker and sometimes I find things on there that I cant on my private trackers so I use it alot too. They also usually have a good comment section and community that weeds out the bad files and lets you know not to download those files.

Note: when looking at a download typically the higher the number of seeders and leechers the better your connection will be and the better the file will be. So I alway try to read the comments and feedback and find the files with high seed and leech numbers as they are usually the fastest to get and the best quality. Sometimes for older movies it just isn't possible to get high seen and leech numbers but you will still be able to get pretty good speeds regardless.
