I have been using this app for 2 yearz now without a problem, now because sirius have changed the online player to flash, I cant use it for my sirius anymore

Furthermore, due to the fact that ive had a us account for 6 years, i cant download the sirius app for my phone because i have to download the canadian version and my password and login dont work on it

At what point does sirius start to give a shit about there customers?

Plus it goes without saying that mac can eat a hot bowl of dicks

maxim4life Wrote:ITunes/No CreditCard--Free Apps Account
**I just followed these simple steps and this morning I have sirius on my iphone!!!

you can open an itunes account without a credit card or itunes gift card and you can have multiple itunes accounts in different countries. download the items that are offered for free: games, apps, songs, podcasts, movies, tv episodes. free offers vary weekly per country.
free downloads are available in: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, and the US. other countries' freebies are apps only.

It works flawlessly. I can switch back and forth between my Canadian and USA Itunes store

here are the instructions:
you will probably need to use a computer to open the account; after that, you can access the account/downloads on your iphone or ipod.

1. first, you need a foreign address and phone number for the itunes country you want an account for. find this for several countries at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://fakenamegenerator.com/">http://fakenamegenerator.com/</a><!-- m --> or google search the name of the country with the word "hospital" or "church". every country has one of these, so use their info. Note: some US states charge tax on itunes; choose Oregon or Florida addresses, they don't charge tax.

2. on a pc, download the itunes player <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/">http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/</a><!-- m --> . open the player window, which shows the itunes store, and scroll down to the bottom. click on the flag to choose the country you want an account for.

3. in the bottom right corner, see "top free apps", click on any free app. when it pops up, click "get app." by choosing a free app, you can access the "none" option for credit cards when you get to the payment page.

4. create a new account with an email that is not registered with itunes. you can get a quick email address with no sign-up process at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.guerrillamail.com/">http://www.guerrillamail.com/</a><!-- m --> or <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.mailinator.com/">http://www.mailinator.com/</a><!-- m --> .

5. within 24 hours, itunes sends an email to the email address you signed up with. click the link in it- you will be directed to the itunes player. sign in and the account is activated.

**you can now download any free items.
to buy downloads that are priced, you must have a credit, debit, or gift card for that specific country. if you open a US itunes account, you can buy an itunes gift card from me to purchase priced downloads. when i send you the card's code, log in to your account thru the itunes player window. on the right side of the screen, click "redeem" and enter the code. the money will be added to your account and you'll see the amount near the top right corner by your sign-in name.

PocketTunes was working for me until this morning. :flame: I prefer using PocketTunes because the official app has a 3-5 minute delay.

The only reason I downloaded this app was to listen to CnR in near real time. Here is the weak response I got when I contacted their help...

As you are aware, Pocket Tunes used to support playback of Sirius/XM stations, but recently it has stopped working. With this email, I hope to shed a little light on what's going on.

In the past, Sirius/XM streams were provided in WMA format, which Pocket Tunes supported and was able to play back.

However, Sirius/XM have recently changed their streaming format to use Flash technology. As you may know, Apple does not allow Flash on their devices. Due to this, Pocket Tunes is no longer able to support playback of Sirius/XM stations.

Sirius/XM provide a free iPhone player that you may find useful. You can get the free Sirius/XM player on the AppStore here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sirius-xm-premium-online/id317951436?mt=8">http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sirius-x ... 51436?mt=8</a><!-- m -->

Pocket Tunes still provides access to tens of thousands of music, talk, police scanner, and other stations! We are committed to continuing to update Pocket Tunes Radio to meet your needs.

We are saddened that Sirius/XM have decided to make this change as we at NormSoft are also Sirius/XM subscribers and have always enjoyed listening to their excellent stations using Pocket Tunes.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with.
