I only got a hair cut, and a whole lot of drinks downtown on Saturday.
Me and a friend started at HockeyTown Cafe by Comerica park, (we did this instead of going to the Tiger game) then we hit every bar on the way back to Greektown Casino. Cheli's Chili sucked. Helga at The Baltimore was crazy. The double shots of Crown Royal at Coaches corner were huge. The bartender at The Detroit Beer Co. called a waitress a cunt. Some black buy bought us a drink at a little bar called Shots, how weird is that? Just some of the highlights.

So, I sent for one of those Michigan visitor guides to find different places to take my guy and his kid. Did you know they offer Segway tours in Detroit??? Is that something like the duck hunting game at the carnival, only the people on the Segways are the ducks????

2. I bought some groceries and movie tickets to Salt Sunday, Hibachi dinner and beers Saturday.

3. Saturday I hung out with a buddy I have not seen in over 10 years, back in the states for a month from Korea before he goes to Hawaii for 3 years. He is in the Army, a major now. Sunday I watched TV and went to see Salt, good movie, a lot like Wanted.

I don't think a Segway would be able to make it over the roads or sidewalks.

wstern iowa, about an 8 hr drive. So unless I get 3 or more days off its not worth the drive, so usually i go there on thankgiving and they come here during the summer

I watched part of that Ochocinco show last night.... Holy bunch of skanky sluts. Wow, I wasn't sure whether to laugh my ass off at them or feel bad that they were so fucked up. Not sure I will keep watching it either, maybe if I'm bored and nothing is on.

SO I got my car back Friday night. Looks AMAZING, great body work. I was driving home from the movie last night and heard a pop in the left front wheel area, where the repairs were done. Then felt a clink in the bottom of the car, like when you run over a rock or a stick and it hits the undercarraige. When I exited the parkway, I hit the brakes for the first time after that happened and there was a grinding noise, like when your brakes are getttting low, and a clicking noise. So I am now waiting on AAA to come get my car and take it back to the shop to get that fixed. They and I think it is either the dust shield or the brake caliper came loose. I can't drive it b/c the caliper might get caught in the wheel and freeze it leading to all kinds of shit.

I have to go to Buffalo for 4 days tomorrow night and need my car, not a rental.

It's possible that the brakes are just rusty from sitting. My car did the same thing when it came out of the body shop earlier this Spring. Let's hope it's just that and nothing something too major.

I had a shit weekend. Started good. The wife and I decided to go to Tulsa on Friday night so we could have an early start on Saturday. Used Hotwire to get a room (actually got a better room for cheaper than Priceline which has never happened for me before). Got to the hotel and found out that it was a king room but it was a smoking room. Asked the girl at the front desk if there was anything non-smoking that we could have instead. She upgraded us to a King Suite. So for $64 total, we got a really nice room with two bathrooms, three showers, two 42" HDTvs, etc. That used up all our good luck.

Saturday comes, I woke up at 5:30 and couldn't go back to sleep so I go into the other room and read/watch TV while waiting for time to wake up my wife. Took her car to the dealer to get the oil changed. While driving to the dealer, hit the brakes one time and one of the brakes grabbed and pulled the car sideways. So made it to the dealer and asked for an oil change, tire rotation and to look at the brakes. We got there as they opened at 9:00 AM. We spent pretty much the rest of the day waiting on the car. Everything took forever. We did get a loaner for a few hours so we could at least go eat and kill some time. But they never kept us informed and didn't ask questions when they had them. I kept having to bug them to get updates and answer questions. They ran out of rear brake pads for the RAV at the Toyota dealer. HTF does that happen? They asked if I would like afternmarket pads instead? I told them to go fuck themselves.

Finally at 3:30ish we were able to leave Tulsa headed to Stillwater where we had plans to meet friends at 11:00 AM. Right as we got into town, I got a call saying that another of my friends was riding his bicycle and was hit by a car. Yep. I had a friend killed last Saturday and this Saturday (within 10 minutes of the time a week ago) another friend was hit. The truck that hit him never stopped. This is a WIDE road with 7' shoulders and rumblers on the edges of the road. So this Ford pickup comes over and hits my friend while going 60, and doesn't stop. The truck missed my other friend that was riding with him by less than 4" or she would have been in the same boat. So he's in the hospital. 4 broken ribs, cracked vertebrae, punctured lung, and he's lucky his foot is still attached. They say grade 4 sprain but I don't know if that is real.

So I :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: all day and all night Saturday. Woke up on Sunday, had lunch and went home. Went by the hospital to see my friend.

Pretty shitty overall.
