That used to happen at Canadian Tire all the time. Shut the power off to the door and use the manual chains to close them. Then just shut down the door until it's fixed... unless it's your only door... then of course your doomed to freeze.

we don't have manual chains on our doors. The only time one of them broke, it was another techs fault, he drove a bucket truck out before the door lifted all the way, and bent it all up. We had it fixed the same day though.

They have the door guys come out once a year, and inspect the doors too.

I don't know. The power never hardly goes out. Plus it's too dark in here to work on stuff if the power is out anyway. I think the longest the power has ever been out was 10 minutes.
