I have also signed many contracts that say that I will not:

- Do my own work on the side
- Work for another IT company
- Leave this company for another IT company within 50 miles
- Leave this company to get hired by one of my clients

When I worked for Canadian Tire my svc manager pulled me aside and asked me if I was going to work for Max (he was a former employee who was now the manager of Denray Tire). I didn't lie... although Max had asked me to come bust tires for him several times it wasn't him I had an interview with... three days later as he was leaving for Jamaica for a holiday I quit to leave for Maxim. It was great! His face was priceless!

I did that a lot when I was pregnant. I remember driving home with tears coming down my face.

I just hate the direction my career has turned to. I'm pretty much an IT whore now. One day could be designing new server systems and the next day could have me crawling through a crawl space running cable.

I do not. I worked on a horse farm thing when I was 12 or 13. They worked me so hard that day, it was unbelievable. I have to admit. I came home and cried like a girl. Then my dad yelled at me, told me to nut up, stop being a pussy, and get used to working like a man, because that was what I was going to have to do for 50 more years, and if I cried every time I had a hard day, then I might as well commit suicide now, and get it over with.

I never cried about a job again, and I turned into a very angry person.

That might be too dangerous.

Not a chance. You'll get murdered by street gangs first.

I hate how I get paid to be a bitch at work. I get paid to not give a shit about the 35 techs I have and have the shop work in a productive manner in order for it to make money.
