Ok ......here we go

Carbon
- Less high temp brake fade
- Better pedal feel
- longer life
- good for racing or heavy duty application

Ceramic
- low dust
- low noise
- most OE are ceramic, especially asian cars, or wheels with fancy wheels with exposed brakes
